FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., January 12, 2017 – Burns & Wilcox, North America’s leading wholesale insurance broker and underwriting manager, today officially announced a new golf sponsorship deal with 2012 U.S. Open winner Webb Simpson (shown at left), along with an extension of its sponsorship of PGA champion Jimmy Walker.
Walker will continue to wear the Burns & Wilcox logo on the right side of his golf shirt. Simpson will showcase the Burns & Wilcox logo on the left side of his golf shirt. The Burns & Wilcox logo will also be featured on their respective caddies.
Walker’s caddie, Andy Sanders, will wear the logo on his right sleeve, and Simpson’s caddy, Paul Tesori, will also wear the logo on his hat.
“Webb Simpson displays great drive and professionalism — values we both share — so we welcome him to Team Burns & Wilcox,” said Alan Jay Kaufman, Chairman, President and CEO, H.W. Kaufman Financial Group, parent company of Burns & Wilcox. “Like golf, insurance is a carefully calculated expertise that requires precision against a varying landscape, and the manner in which Jimmy and Webb play the sport represents how we win for our clients.”
This past summer, Team Burns & Wilcox experienced its first major victory when Walker won the 98th PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club with a one-shot win over top-ranked Jason Day.
“I appreciate the support of Burns & Wilcox and look forward to continuing to build on the success of our long-term relationship. Burns & Wilcox is a great organization and an outstanding partner,” said Walker.
Four-time PGA victor Webb Simpson joins Team Burns & Wilcox as its second professional golf brand ambassador. His sponsorship was effective January 10, 2017.
“Burns & Wilcox is competitive, independent, and seeks constant growth – much like myself,” said Simpson. “I am proud to represent such a positive organization while playing the game I love.”
Simpson’s sponsorship kicks off this week during the Sony Open in Hawaii.
